Behold! The loot guide is here.

While we might still be overwhelmed with all the changes to the map, in-game mechanics and much more in Chapter 2, there is still one aspect of the game that remains constant. If you have good weapons there are higher chances of getting out of a fight alive.

Let’s face it, nobody likes to see a grey burst pop out of the chest just as we land in a zone packed with enemies. Every Fortnite-fam dreams of the Gold, Spas or perhaps a golden RPG, but the chances of actually finding one is slim unless you have the best looting spots all mapped out in your head!

These spots not only offer a great weapon set-up that will help you survive the early game but will also help you actively win more fights if you can put them to the right use and unleash the creative warrior in you.

Here is a list of 5 best spots in Chapter 2, season 1 that guarantees you a solid loot, along with a strategic movement plan to stay ahead of the enemies that will undoubtedly boost your chances of getting that “Victory Royale”.

#1 Misty Meadows

Whether it’s solo, duos or squad, Misty Meadows is undoubtedly one of the most packed spots. With chests all over the place and a huge layout, you or your team are sure to have a great pack of weapons to bulldoze the enemies. Located on the southern end of the map, the place usually is not challenged with a ton of people landing here, unless it ends up being a hot-drop right under the battle bus.

Misty Meadows also has one end of the lake right behind it which makes it a great spot to rotate from other areas of the map, combined with diverse and sufficient weapon and chest spawns, placing it No.1 on our list.

#2 Sweaty Sands

Located on the Northeast corner of the map, Sweaty Sands is just the place to be if you like to keep a low-profile throughout the game. Along with the sand and beach, Sweaty Sands might also bring strong waves of nostalgia since it is very reminiscent of Paradise Palms.

The tall building has a chest in every alternative floor and can be entered from top, bottom or you could just glide into the middle. The spot is right next to the beach with a ton of spots of catch bunch of heals and weapons from the ocean. This almost guarantees you a high rarity weapon and tasty heals!

#3 Lake House

Conveniently placed between Frenzy Farms and Dirty docks, is a timid lake house on the east side of the map which is rarely challenged but packed with sufficient loot for two to three players, making it a clever drop in solos, duos or Arena solos.

Placed right in the middle of the lake also makes it a great spot to find healings from the lake. Covered by woods, the spot also guarantees you a great farm-rate in comparison to certain other unnamed spots.

#4 Ice Mountains

Who doesn’t miss Polar peak? Lucky for us, the icy experience is still in the game, although without a name it still has heaps of loot to offer!

Isolated in the Southeast corner of the map, the Ice mountains are the perfect drop for a solo or duo game. The mountains are divided into a two-part camp, each of which can be rotated to easily. Most of the tents at the mountain camp have chests in them with bunkers that can be farmed for a decent amount of metal as well. The spot is a high altitude zone placing you on natural high ground immediately with no one to worry about in the 200-300 m proximity, unless there is someone else landing right with you!

#5 The Lonely Island

Located under Misty Meadows on the far end of the map is a small island which is connected to the main one with just a single bridge. The spot has been a choice of drop for professional players simply because of the sheer amount of loot it holds while being so incredibly compact.

Tons of players are hesitant to drop assuming the location may not have enough chest, however, the “tiny” island holds a total of 17 Chests in total, all nearby, which means you can run through piles of loot in a very small amount of time.

The tiny island also has a ton of resources for you to farm wood, brick and metal especially in Arena along with a boat stationed near the bridge to help you quickly move to the centre of the map following the river.

With that, we wrap up our list of the top 5 landing spots in Chapter 2, Season 1. Next time you hop in-game be sure to check them out!
