FIFA 15: Top 10 Manchester United player rating predictions

Manchester United did not enjoy a very good 2013/14 season under former boss David Moyes, who was appointed as the successor of Sir Alex Ferguson after his 11 year stint at Everton, however, it wasn't as impressive as anticipated with him breaking many unwanted records with Manchester United, and the club ending their season at the 7th place, losing a spot in Europe since 1995. The players at Manchester United too did not live up to their potential, however, there were a few new youngsters who did step up for the Red Devils. In FIFA 14, most of the ratings of the Manchester United players were above 80 but after a disappointing season, it is expected that their ratings will be downgraded to a lower rating.In this slideshow, we predict the ratings of 10 Manchester United players:

#10 Javier Hernandez

The Mexican had a poor 2013/14 season. Javier Hernandez was usually benched and looked demoralised for most of Manchester United’s 2013/14 season because of his lack of games. Chicarito scored just 10 goals for Manchester United in the 2013/14 season. Hernandez was included in Mexico’s World Cup squad where he was not handed starts but was used as a substitute for most of the games. Hernandez scored just one goal for Mexico in the World Cup.

#9 Michael Carrick

The midfield dynamo of Manchester United had an average 2013/14 season. Michael Carricks passing accuracy was impressive although the midfielder could not make most of it because of his lack of pace. The Englishman scored just once for Manchester United in the 2013/14 season and he was also not called up for the England World Cup squad.

Michael Carricks rating in FIFA 14 is 82 and he may not receive any upgrade. The chance of downgrading Carricks rating in FIFA 14 to a near 80 rating is possible but not assured.

#8 Jesse Lingard

Jesse Lingard shows glimpses of a bright future for Manchester United in his first pre-season for Manchester United. The youngster was sent out on loan to Birmingham City where he scored 4 goals on his debut. The 21 year old also had a good pre-season with Manchester United under Louis Van Gaal where he scored a goal against Liverpool in the final of International Champions Cup held in the United States.

#7 Ashley Young

The English winger never impressed at Old Trafford since his switch to Manchester from Aston Villa in 2011 for a fee believed to be around15million to20million. Ashley Youngs crosses into the box never reached any player and he too had a below average 2013/14 season at Old Trafford. Young was not included in Englands World Cup squad because of his mediocre performances for United.

#6 Tom Cleverley

A very poor 2013/14season for the English midfielder. Tom Cleverley was highly criticised at Manchester United and even a petition was signed against Cleverley from not letting playing in the English national side. Cleverleys poor vision and wayward passes were definitely his major flaws for the 2013/14 season. The English midfielder was also not included in the Englands World Cup squad.

#5 David De Gea

David De Gea had an impressive 2013/14 season. Though Manchester United were not impressive, the Spanish stopper did his best to stop a lot of goals. The 23-year old had an impressive 2013/14 season having pulled off many world-class saves for Manchester United. David De Gea was also included in the 2013/14 World Cup squad for Spain but did not play a single game.

David De Geas rating in FIFA 14 is 82. After his impressive 2013/14 season, a boost of his rating to 84 or 85 will not be surprising.

The Spaniard completed his move to Manchester United from Chelsea for a fee believed to be around37.1million in the winter transfer window of the 2013/14 season. Juan Mata had scored his debut goal for Manchester United in a 4-1 win over Aston Villa. The Spaniard did not start any game for Spain in the WC but had a substitute appearance against Australia in which he scored a goal.

The Dutchman was out for most of the season because of the injuries he had suffered. Robin van Persies hattrick against Olympiakos will surely be remembered by the Manchester United fans forever. The 31-year old striker scored 12 league goals for Manchester United in his 18 appearances despite his injuries. Persie also had a fruitful WC campaign, scoring 4 goals in 6 appearances.

Robin van Persies fitness has not always been a point of concern. If the Dutchman gains 100 percent fitness, Manchester United can definitely hope for a lotof goals from the forward. The English forward was the top scorer for Manchester United in the 2013/14 season. Wayne Rooney also scored a stunning long goal against West Ham in the Premier League. The Englishman had played his best in the 2013/14 season for Manchester United and was present everywhere in the field. Wayne Rooney had an average World Cup scoring one goal and having an assist to his name.

Wayne Rooneys rating in FIFA 14 is 87, and his impressive form for Manchester United will surely make him receive a statistical upgrade. A rating of 89 or 90 can be expected for the 28-year old in FIFA 15.

The Belgian had an impressive 2013/14 season for Manchester United after being promoted into the senior squad from the U-18s. The Belgian was also included for the Belgium World Cup squad but did not play many games. The 19-year old also scored two goals on his first start for Manchester United in the Premier League.
