Video Game News: Dark Souls Trilogy set to release on PS4, PC and Xbox One

2019 is clearly shaping up to be the year of From Software as their latest action RPG Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice-a new take on the souls-borne formula is set to release just two months later- 22 March 2019.

However, fans of the series should know that it's not the only thing being thrown at them this year.

A Dark Souls Trilogy is set to release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC later this year on 1st March.

The Trilogy will contain the recently released Dark Souls Remastered, as well as Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the first Sin and 2016's Dark Souls 3: The Fire Fades, along with all the DLCs released for the games yet.

If that's not enough for you, there is also a collector's edition on the way which consists all the content mentioned above, as well as -

  • A high-quality, numbered, and hand-painted 34cm Elite Knight at the Bonfire statue
  • The DARK SOULS TRILOGY soundtrack – featuring 6 soundtrack CDs with music from all three games
  • And a 460-page DARK SOULS TRILOGY compendium * – containing illustrated maps with boss and NPC locations, item encyclopedia, a bestiary of enemies and bosses, and a manuscript of all dialogue from each game reiterate.

It will be released on 31st May of this year.

There's also a six-disc soundtrack, featuring music from each game, and a 460-page compendium - which includes illustrated maps (with boss and NPC locations), an item encyclopedia, a bestiary of enemies and bosses, plus a manuscript of all dialogue.

Be warned though that the collector's edition is restricted to Europe and can only be bought via the NAMCO BANDAI Entertainment Europe store. There are also only 2,000 copies of this collector's edition so book your's as soon as possible.

Dark Souls Trilogy was initially released only in Japan last year with a planned release in America and Asia further down the road. No European version was planned and so it's good to see that European fans of this hardcore action RPG series will finally be able to get their hands on this beautiful trilogy.
