Gaming News: Overkill's The Walking Dead Game delayed indefinitely on PS4 and Xbox One.

Left for Dead rip off of this generation of consoles- Overkill's The Walking Dead which was supposed to release next month on the PS4 and Xbox One has been delayed until further notice.

Starbreeze Studio, the ones behind the game confirmed this news stating that they are “currently evaluating and reviewing the game's performance"

Overkill's The Walking Dead released last year on PC with high expectations from fans as well as from the studio behind it but ended up being a disappointment since the beginning.

A buggy mess as well as not a very good game, in general, leading to Steam slashing the game's price very soon after its release.

If this wasn't enough, Star Breeze Studio parted ways with its CEO Bo Andersson who also step down from the Board of Directors as well.

To make things worse, the studio received a surprise visit from Swedish authorities due to “gross insider crimes” from a person in the studio regarding "insider trading".

A statement from Ann Charlotte Svensson, who is Starbreeze’s investor relations chief, revealed the following-

On Wednesday Swedish Economic Crime Authority has conducted a search query at Starbreeze AB. The company has been informed that this has occurred due to suspicions of insider charges. The company as such is not subject to any suspicion. The company cooperates fully with the Swedish Economic Crime Authority. The event does not affect the company or the ongoing business reconstruction.”

If you didn't know, Overkill's The Walking Dead is a co-op first-person shooter game set in the universe of the famous The Walking Dead comics.

With a mix of RPG elements, players get to play as one of the four main characters of the game which are Maya, Aidan, Grant, and Heather in a post apocalptyic setting of Washington D.C.
