Genshin Impact 4.8 "Summertide Scales and Tales" update is scheduled to launch globally on July 17, 2024, at 11 am (UTC+8). As mentioned earlier, officials will conduct server maintenance before the new update at 6 am (UTC+8), on the same day as the release date. During the maintenance, expect a server downtime that will last a minimum of five hours.

All servers will be unavailable for five hours, preventing players from accessing their accounts. As a result, it is recommended that you complete any outstanding tasks in the game before the 4.8 server downtime.

After the maintenance is complete, officials will drop the new version 4.8 update. HoYoverse officials have enabled their pre-installation function on the HoYoPlay launcher, allowing players to download large files in advance. This will save you a lot of time when accessing the game after the new patch drops.

When you enter your account, don't forget to check out your in-game mailbox to collect your maintenance compensation. Officials generally hand out 300 Primogems as compensation for the server downtime.
