The update maintenance will begin on November 20, 2024, at 6 am (UTC+8) and is estimated to last five hours. Once the server downtime ends, Travelers can update the launcher and enjoy all the new content, including the new characters, events, and map.

As mentioned, the update maintenance for Genshin Impact 5.2 will begin on November 20, 2024, at 6 am (UTC+8). The server downtime is expected to last five hours as usual, meaning version 5.2 will be released at 11 am (UTC+8).

While the update maintenance is slated to last roughly five hours, it may end an hour or two early. Once the servers are up, Travelers can check their in-game mailbox to collect 600 Primogems as compensation. Furthermore, the phase I banners will be available as soon as the update goes live.

Version 5.2 pre-installation function

HoYoverse has already released the pre-installation function for the version 5.2 update. Travelers can use this feature to download some of the in-game files in advance. Here are the package sizes on each device:

PC: 12 GB to 15 GB (17 GB space required to unzip)
Mobile: 1.9 GB to 2.5 GB

Travelers are advised to download the files using this feature since this will speed up the update process once the new version is live. That way, they can enjoy the content faster.
