Furnace of Fiery Embers is a unique puzzle in the Ochkanatlan region in Genshin Impact. To solve this puzzle, you must find five Furnaces of Fiery Embers spread across the entire Ochkanatlan map and guide the Sigils within them from one point to another. Completing the Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzle will reward you with treasure chests, unlock the Embers Rekindled achievement, and a free copy of the 4-star craftable sword Flute of Ezpitzal.

All Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzle locations in Genshin Impact

Before tackling the Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzles, it is recommended that you complete the Vaulting the Wall of Morning Mist World Quest and its subsequent quests. Doing so will unlock the Ochkanatlan map, granting access to all the regions within it.

Once you have unlocked the Ochkanatlan map, follow the guide below to find all five of the Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzle locations:

1) Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzle 1

The first Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzle is located northwest of the first Teleport Waypoint on the beach northwest of the Ochkanatlan Statue of the Seven (refer to the map image above).

Upon reaching the Fiery Embers sigil, interact with it to be teleported to an underground area where a Relay Ball puzzle is located.

To solve this puzzle, transform yourself into the Yumkasaur and use its ability to pull the nearby grappling hook. This will temporarily open the two adjacent gates. Since the puzzle is time-sensitive, you must quickly pass through both gates before they close.

Once you reach the Relay Ball on the other side, use the grappling hook near the puzzle to reopen the gates. Quickly grab the Relay Ball and aim it at the receiving platform. Time your shot carefully to fire the Relay Ball when the gates provide a clear opening, completing the puzzle.

Solving this puzzle helps you progress further into the Furnace of Fiery Embers, where you will find two more Relay Ball puzzles.

The next set of these Relay Ball puzzles is divided into two parts and requires you to follow the Fiery Embers sigil, which will act as your guide throughout the process.

Start by following the Fiery Embers sigil as it moves behind the gate on the left. Use the Yumkasaur's ability to grab the Relay Ball and fire it at the Converter positioned near the closed gate. Then, quickly pull the nearby grappling hook to open the gate, allowing the Relay Ball to pass through and complete the first half of the puzzle.

Next, go through the now-opened gate and interact with the sigil again. Follow it as it moves to the center of the room, clearing the barrier blocking the second receiving platform. This will also cause another Converter to partially descend into the center of the room.

Locate the grappling hook near the suspended Converter and activate it to fully lower the latter, aligning it with the receiving platform. Finally, use the Yumkasaur's ability to grab the Relay Ball and fire it at the descended Converter to complete the puzzle. Successfully solving both parts of this challenge will reward you with a Precious Chest.

2) Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzle 2

Teleport to the northwest waypoint from the previous puzzle's Teleport Waypoint location (refer to the map image above). Face northeast here and you will find some young Tepetlisauri guarded by two Tenebrous Mimiflora enemies. Defeat the enemies and free the young Tepetlisauri to be rewarded with an Exquisite Chest.

Once you open the chest, a short cutscene will play, revealing a hidden cave nearby. Enter the cave and follow the path ahead to reach its bottom where you will find a small river of liquid Phlogiston and some Tepetlisaur Spiritconces.

Transform into a Tepetlisaur and use its ability to move underground to attack the four glowing cubes that appear sequentially after striking the first one. Successfully hitting all the cubes will break a nearby wall, allowing you to go deeper into the cave.

After passing through the newly revealed opening, defeat the Ruin Grader to remove the barrier blocking the path. This will allow you to reach the Fiery Embers sigil and claim an Exquisite Chest as a reward for defeating the enemy.

The next part of the puzzle is fairly simple, as all you need to do is interact with the sigil and follow it until it leads you to a second sigil.

When you first interact with the Fiery Embers sigil, it will begin moving and clear one of the barriers blocking your path. Follow the sigil and use the elevator to travel down and complete a loop, eventually returning to the starting point where you initially interacted with the sigil.

Then, follow the same path while tracking the sigil again. This time, the elevator will ascend instead of descending, leading you to the second sigil. Interact with both sigils to complete the puzzle and earn a Precious Chest as a reward.

3) Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzle 3

The third Furnace is located at the northernmost tip of Ochkanatlan. To reach it, use the Teleport Waypoint on the beach, which is northeast of the previous waypoint. From there, head northeast to find a ruin with two Iktomisauri meditating in front of it.

Transform into an Iktomisaur and use its ability on the circle above the locked gate to unlock it. After opening the gate, retrieve the chest inside. This will cause the floor to crumble, and you will fall into the hole beneath it.

Follow the sigil as it activates a fireball mechanism. Take cover from the fireballs, then use the Iktomisaur's normal attack to hit the nearby blue crystal. Then, use its ability to scan the circle above the fireball mechanism. Once scanned, fly over the now-open gate to deactivate the fireball mechanism and activate the elevator that takes you deeper into the Furnace.

Approach the sigil, after which it will move away once again. Shortly after, another fireball mechanism and blue crystal will appear. Hit the crystal, then use the Iktomisaur's ability to scan the circle that forms afterward.

A pillar will rise in the center of the room. Scan the purple Spiritsconce next to it to gain the enhanced jump ability for your Iktomisaur. Use the boosted jump to reach the top of the pillar and touch the Sigil to be teleported to a new area, where you will encounter a Secret Source Automaton Hunter-Seeker. Defeat the enemy, then interact with the Sigil and follow it all the way back down.

Once you are back in the underground area, use the nearby mechanism to open the door, allowing the second Sigil to move forward. When both Sigils reach the central platform, the puzzle will be complete, and you will receive a Precious Chest as a reward.

4) Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzle 4

Teleport to the waypoint northeast of the Ochkanatlan Statue of the Seven and head northeast. The fourth Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzle is located on the easternmost island of the Ochkanatlan region. The first Sigil can be found on top of this island, near a Hilichurl. Interacting with the Sigil will cause it to move and reappear below, in the middle of a small pond on the island.

Head north and jump down to locate the Sigil near a floating target challenge on the water. Use the nearby Spiritsconce to transform into a Koholasaur. Begin the challenge by hitting the first floating target, then continue to hit the remaining targets as they appear around the island.

Upon completing the challenge by circling back to the starting point, a Spiritway will appear, leading you to a floating island high in the sky. Once you reach the island, unlock the Teleport Waypoint and touch the sigil nearby to complete the puzzle and receive a precious chest as a reward.

5) Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzle 5

Teleport back to the previously mentioned waypoint and head southeast toward the floating island above the water using your Qucusaur's flying abilities. On this small floating island, you will encounter a Cryo Abyss Mage guarding a flying challenge.

Defeat the Abyss Mage to unlock the challenge and begin it. Use the Qucusaur's flying ability to navigate the island and locate the two Sigils. One is situated on top of a stone obelisk at the island's highest point, while the other is beneath a broken bridge on the island. You can also use the Scorchwind Confluxes as guides to help locate both Sigils.

After finding both Sigils, return to the challenge and interact with it again to activate the nearby Ruin Grader. Defeat the enemy to complete the puzzle and earn a Precious Chest as your reward.

Rewards for completing all five Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzles

Successfully completing all five of the Furnace of Fiery Embers puzzles will unlock the Embers Rekindled achievement and allow you to receive a free copy of the 4-star sword Flute of Ezpitzal. To get the sword, follow the steps below:

Out of the three waypoints in the central square of the Ochkanatlan map, teleport to the southeastern waypoint, head southeast, and jump down to reach Ashflow Street. Keep heading east and you will notice the five sigils that you had found will now be assembled nearby, with a sword buried halfway in the ground in the center.

Interacting with the sword will teleport you to a new location, where you will receive a Luxurious Chest and find a free copy of the Flute of Ezpitzal 4-star sword behind it.
