Genshin Impact Purple Obsidian Ring: How to get and use

Introduced in Genshin Impact 5.2, the Purple Obsidian Ring is a special item that can be used to unlock the Masters of the Night-Wind secret trove. How to obtain Purple Obsidian Fragments needed to craft Purple Obsidian Ring in Genshin Impact

Purple Obsidian Fragments can be obtained in two ways: either randomly from Precious/Luxurious Chests in the Tezcatepetonco Range or by completing the Warrior's Challenges in the Masters of the Night-Wind region.

1) Precious/Luxurious Chests

Every time you open a Precious Chest or a Luxurious Chest in the Tezcatepetonco Range region, you have a chance to obtain one Purple Obsidian Fragment. However, the drop rates are low and completely dependent on RNG, so you might need to explore and open a lot of chests before you can get all three needed to craft the Purple Obsidian Ring.

2) Warrior's Challenges

Warrior's Challenges in Natlan can be completed by challenging the Master Trainers present all over Natlan. Each tribe has three Master Trainers, and completing their challenges rewards you with one Common Chest, one Exquisite Chest, and one Precious Chest each. You can get Purple Obsidian Fragments from Precious Chests.

Master Trainer Pulmari is located in the southeast Masters of the Night-Wind region. Teleport to the waypoint directly east of the Tezcatepetonco Range Statue of the Seven, and head south to reach Pulmari's location.

Master Trainer Bitsin is located in the main Masters of the Night-Wind region. Teleport to the southern Masters of the Night-Wind main area waypoint and make your way east to find Bitsin.

Warrior's Challenge #3: Kinne

Master Trainer Kinne can be found on the northern side of the Masters of the Night-Wind region. Teleport to the northern Masters of the Night-Wind main area waypoint and jump straight down. Keep heading north till you reach the big waterfall in Xalac Vale, where you will find Kinne.

Where and how to use Purple Obsidian Ring in Genshin Impact

After you have successfully collected three Purple Obsidian Fragments, you can craft them into a Purple Obsidian Ring.

The Purple Obsidian Ring can be used to remove the barrier on the Masters of the Night-Wind Secret Tribal Space (treasure trove). This Tribal Space is located near the Tezcatepetonco Range Statue of the Seven.

To get to the trove, teleport to the Tezcatepetonco Range Statue of the Seven, turn north, and jump straight off the cliff. After jumping, turn around and start gliding. You will notice the entrance to the trove in front of you.

Use the Purple Obsidian Ring to enter the trove and collect the rewards, which include various Artifacts and a Sanctifying Elixir.
