Hearthstone Standard Rotation: The 5 Best Cards Warrior Will Lose From Arena in Blizzard's Card Game

Warrior in Hearthstone has been an average performer in Arena. Although it is the 4th best class right now, Warrior has historically been extremely weak along with Priest. The class has received better cards over the years though and its performance has also improved.

Now with the addition of many Rush cards and Dragon Roar, Warrior has become really strong. Dragon Roar in Arena is basically carrying the class, due to the less number of Dragons in Standard.

Still, Warrior will be losing some great cards from Journey to Un'Goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne and Kobolds & Catacombs. Here are some of the best cards leaving Arena for Warrior along with the Standard Rotation Cycle.

#5. Lesser Mithril Spellstone

Expansion: Kobolds & Catacombs

The good thing about Warriors is that they have a huge selection of weapons, which are very valuable in Arena. Upgrading Lesser Mithril Spellstone is not too hard (provided you draw it) and if you fully upgrade it, getting three 5/5 golems is extremely strong.

It's not strong when you summon just one golem, but getting two or three can have a serious impact on your board. Getting 10/10 or 15/15 worth of stats for 7 mana is some value.

#4. Forge of Souls

Expansion: Knights of the Frozen Throne

Remember those weapons you drafted? That Spellstone that needs upgrading? Forge of Souls is a great draw tool for Warrior, especially if they draft multiple weapons in their deck. It is pretty common for Warriors to have an arsenal of weapons in their deck in Arena.

Warrior doesn't have too many draw tools, cards like Battle Rage are much harder to trigger in Arena. Drawing 2 weapons from your deck also thins your deck, allowing you to draw your other minions while having solid weapons to take down your opponent's minions on board.

#3. Tar Lord

Expansion: Journey to Un'Goro

At 11 health, Tar Lord has the highest amount of health for any Taunt minion at 7 mana. It is not likely for your opponent to have direct removal in Arena and they will mostly have to rely on trading. A 5/11 Taunt is not an easy minion to kill and your opponent will have to make a lot of sacrifices just to kill this one minion.

#2. King Mosh

Expansion: Journey to Un'Goro

King Mosh was too slow for Constructed but saw much more value in Arena. Removal of minions has a lot more value in Arena, even though it can be hard to match the condition. With Warpath and Whirlwind or trading smartly, you can ensure that your King Mosh has a solid turn to destroy the right minions.

A 9/7 body to complement its Battlecry is also strong, making it a huge threat on the board too.

#1. Blood Razor

Expansion: Knights of the Frozen Throne

Blood Razor stands out on top for both Constructed and Arena. Blood Razor is even better in Arena since 1 damage AOE has strong value. Since you can replicate the effect twice, while also being a weapon to ping other minions down, Blood Razor is the best card from the 2017 sets in Arena. Oh, and if you have King Mosh, this can help you damage those minions.

Honourable Mentions

Woecleaver

Expansion: Kobolds & Catacombs

The Recruit mechanic is pretty busted in Arena. Woecleaver can be extremely strong if you pull out strong minions such as Violet Wurm, Tar Lord, Giant Mastodon or others. It could be annoying or wasteful if you pull small minions or Battlecry minions, but getting a free minion while also doing 3 damage is quite strong in Arena.

Ornery Direhorn

Expansion: Journey to Un'Goro

Ornery Direhorn is a solid taunt that can Adapt for higher health, summoning plants, having Poisonous or even high attack. It can be a challenging Taunt minion to get through, depending on the Adaption chosen.

Stoneskin Basilisk

Expansion: Kobolds & Catacombs

Stoneskin Basilisk is just as powerful as Execute in Arena. Warrior doesn't have many powerful 3 drops and it doesn't have any Poisonous minions. Stoneskin Basilisk is a solid card that is hard to penetrate and has the potential to clear 2 different minions.

It may be a little weaker against Rogue or Mage, but as a Neutral, it is a solid removal option for Warrior. It is a great card overall but shines in some classes such as Warrior.

Gemstudded Golem

Expansion: Kobolds & Catacombs

Even though you cannot attack with lesser than 5 armor, Gemstudded Golem is solid at 9 health for just 6 mana. It is a sturdy and strong Taunt to get through. It is mostly used as a defence mechanism rather than an offensive card. It can be used as both though since Warriors can gain 5 or more armor pretty easily.
