Expansion: Journey to Un'Goro

Tar Lord is the third Tar minion to be released, along with Warlock's Tar Lurker and the neutral Tar Creeper. At 11 health, it is the strongest among the Tar cards and one of the strongest Taunt minions in the game. A 5/11 Taunt is not easy for your opponent to clear, without losing board presence. Unless hard removal is used on Tar Lord, it is a sturdy minion that is hard to bypass.

Expansion: Kobolds & Catacombs

Legendary weapon Woecleaver is strong on its own but never lived up to its true potential. While Warrior does have many strong minions it can bring it out from its deck, it doesn't have a card as powerful as Voidlord or Obsidian Statue to cheat out.

The release of the spell Boomship was a great complement to Woecleaver, where you could summon the minions from hand in case you drew them. The ability to cheat out 3 minions is a strong mechanic but never dominated any metas.
