Hideaki Itsuno and his team just shipped Devil May Cry 5 and are chilling under the shades of a cherry blossom tree, if his Twitter account is any indication. He also, however, teased that he's involved in the development of yet another game.

The new project team eh? What could they possibly be working on. The easiest assumption is Dragon's Dogma 2. 2012's Dragon's Dogma- a dark fantasy action RPG game was an undermining title in many ways. Even then it did a few things incredibly right, such as an intricately designed combat system, varied looking enemy design as well as a pawn system which led to the game gathering quite a fan base throughout the years.

What's interesting is that Itsuno did get an opportunity to work on Dragon's Dogma 2 rather than Devil May Cry 5 at one point back in 2013, but he chose to go with the latter. However as Devil May Cry 5 is out of the picture now,( and Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen releasing on Nintendo Switch this month,) it's very likely that the team may be interested in making another Dragon's Dogma game. I can already imagine that addictive comat system return from the first part as well as a vast and beautiful open world running on the powerful RE engine.
