While Itsuno's team is probably hard at work on the next Dragon's Dogma, let's get back to Capcom's other internal studios. During its annual reports to shareholders last year, Capcom talked about ideas to shorten the release between its major franchises, in other words, make them annual.

Now the first game that comes to my mind is the Resident Evil 3: Remake. After the huge success of RE 2: Remake, fans have been demanding a similar remake of RE3 which I'm more than happy to play as I never got around to play the original about 20 years ago.

The current rumours surrounding RE 3 Remake is that it's happening and Capcom plans to release this title by early 2020 while keeping Resident Evil 8 for an early 2021 release which will serve as a launch title for the upcoming PS5 and the next Xbox. RE 3 remake will satisfy the fans who prefer the third person camera angle as well as the people who like me, never got around to play the original in the first place. Whereas, RE 8 will follow the footsteps of RE 7 with more focus on psychological horror and first-person elements.

P.S.

Capcom did tease RE 3 Remake just few days ago:-
