Trace 'n' Drift event gameplay
As mentioned, in the Trace 'n' Drift event, you will be required to participate in the Speed Cup Tournament and take part in Spheroid car races. There are a total of five different rounds:
- Qualifier Round 1
- Qualifier Round 2
- Qualifier Round 3
- Semifinals
- Grand Finale
Each round will have different race tracks and Spheroid cars that you will need to participate in the race with. For the first four rounds, you are not allowed to choose your race cars. Once you reach the Grand Finale stage, you can pick between the four available race cars.
Each race track also has certain items present in it, which can either help you or slow you down. You can expect to find the following on race tracks:
- Acceleration Zone: Drive your car through this zone to get a speed boost.
- Deceleration Zone: Driving through this zone will slow your car down.
- Skill Bottles: Break these bottles to fill charge for your car (which will let you use the car's special skill).
- Speed Boost bottles: Break these bottles to get speed boosts.
- Billboards: Crashing into these will slow you down, unless you have an 'invinvib;e' boost.
- Unidentified Dolls: Crashing into these Sparkle dolls will often open new lanes that you can switch to.
Here is a breakdown of all the various rounds in the Trace 'n' Drift event, along with some tips to help you win first place in these rounds:
Qualifier Round 1

For this round, you'll be given the Sea Hunter Shark. This car has medium speed and stability and comes with a special skill that allows you to launch missiles and hit other opponents during the race. These missiles can also be used to destroy obstacles in the way, such as Billboards and Unidentified Dolls. Destroying Unidentified Dolls will open up new lanes with more Acceleration Zones you can use to speed ahead.
Break as many Skill Bottles and Speed Boost bottles as you can, so you can keep using the Speed Boosts to stay ahead of your competitors. When other cars get ahead of you, use the Sea Hunter Shark's missiles to hit and temporarily stun them.
Qualifier Round 2

For the second qualifier round, you'll be provided a special Spheroid car designed for the Trailblazer. This car has very high speed but low stability, and its special skill allows it to quickly accelerate and gain a speed boost that lasts for a considerable time.
Your main objective in this round will be to avoid the Billboards on the track, as hitting them will slow you down considerably. Since this car does not have any missiles that you can use to destroy the obstacles on the track, you will need to maneveur your car skillfullty.
Similar to the first Qualifier round, keep breaking Skill bottles and use the car's special skill to try and maintain top speed for as long as possible.
Qualifier Round 3

For Qualifier Round 3, you will drive The Hertadore. This car has medium speed but high stability, and its special skill gives the car a speed boost, during which it becomes invincible. For this duration, try and collide with as many objects as you can to prolong the effects of this speed boost. Both tracks in this round are replete with Billboards, so remember to keep crashing into them.
Semifinals

The car you will drive for the Semifinals is the Thirteen Orphans, which has high speed and medium stability. Its special skill pulls a card that will grant you any of these random boosts:
- Speed Boost
- Invincibility Boost
- Speed + Invincibility Boost
- No boost obtained
Depending on the boost you get, you will have to maneuver your car accordingly on the race tracks. Keep destroying Skill bottles to consistently use the car's skill.
Grand Finale

For the Grand Finale, you can choose a car of your preference to drive. While it is completely up to you which car you want to pick, it is recommended to go for either The Hertadore or the Thirteen Orphans for their superior skills. Depending on which car you choose, you will need to drive through the tracks accordingly.
Note that the total number of Skill Bottles present in the last track of the Grand Finale will be significantly lesser compared to the other tracks, so don't waste your car's skills; use them at the appropriate times in order to get ahead.
Challenge Race mode

Once you've completed the Grand Finale and finished playing through the entire Speed Cup Tournament, the Challenge Race mode will be unlocked. In this mode, you can replay through the racing challenges to beat the records set by other NPC opponents.
