If you have already started the game, you must have realized that the episode battles (story mode) consist of some rather difficult boss fights.

If you have already started playing the game, chances are, you have already experienced the challenge of the episode battles. But there is always a way to trick the AI. A good defense is a great offense; make sure to implement the right defensive tactics to preserve as much energy as possible. Sonic sway and deflecting light beams can be some helpful tricks. But what about attacking?
Make sure you choose the right difficulty when starting Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. If you are new to fighting games, or the Dragon Ball franchise, start with an easier difficulty. Once you start the battle, keep an eye on your Ki, as it can help you counter enemies.
Dragon Dash enemies by pressing R2/RT twice, followed by X/A, then go into sparking mode by pressing R2/RT. After beating on your enemy for a while, aim down and hit the Ki blast button by pressing Triangle/Y.
Once you manage to knock down your opponent, you can follow up with your ultimate attack. The prompt and required buttons to press will pop up in the bottom left corner of your screen.
