How to detach weapon charms in CS2

Valve has finally introduced weapon charms in CS2 after a major update. The brand-new patch also brought three new weapon collections, cases, and more. However, perhaps the weapon charms in CS2 are the highlight of the new update. These attractive little cosmetics can be attached to your weapons.

There are two collections of weapon charms in CS2. They can be added to your weapon of choice from the Armory. However, detaching them is a more complicated process. Here's how you can remove them.

Detaching weapon charms in CS2

To detach weapon charms in CS2, purchase a Charm Detachment Pack. Removing these charms is slightly different in Counter Strike 2 than in a game like Valorant, where it can simply be removed by going to inventory. Here's how you do it:

• Upon redeeming a charm from the Armory, you will receive three complimentary Charm Detachments.
• Apply one Charm Detachment to remove the charm from your weapon. This can also be done in the Armory. Once a Charm is removed, it will appear in your inventory.
• Use Charm Detachment wisely as purchasing it separately will cost about $0.99 in CS2.

This simple process allowed you to detach weapon charms in CS2. As of right now, the game has two collections: the Missing Link Charms, and the Small Arms Charms.

The Missing Link Charms are small figures some of which resemble operators in the game. On the other hand, the Small Arms collection is literally a bunch of smaller CS2 weapons that can be attached to your actual guns.

Apart from the weapon charms in CS2, about 48 new weapon skins were added. This includes weapons from the Overpass, Graphic, and Sport and Field collections. However, the Gallery Case was also introduced, adding 17 community-created designs to the game.

New stickers were also added to the game. To make things better, sticker scraping is now a feature. You can scrape a sticker before it is applied so players can see and judge if they want to keep it.

Finally, the biggest feature of the update has to be the CS2 Armory, a purchasable pass where you can earn progress that will grant you credits. These credits can then be used to purchase items featured in the new update. Five armory passes can be active at once allowing access to more credits.

The Armory is where you'll find your weapon charms in CS2 and where you may end up detaching them. Make sure you redeem the ones you like so you don't have to remove them at all.
