How to get Alert and on Guard! achievement in Genshin Impact

Alert and on Guard! in Genshin Impact is a hidden achievement that you can get by exposing an NPC named Mamull in the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. You can unlock this achievement after playing his game, rescuing an Iktomisaurus Chick, and uncovering the Painted Stone Challenge scam. This will also give you 30 Primogem rewards and three chests, including one Luxurious Chest.

Mamull location

Talk to Mamull and play his game (Image via HoYoverse)

Teleport to the Statue of The Seven in Masters of the Night-Wind and turn left to find Mamul and his small camp. Talk to him to start this hidden puzzle challenge.

Round I

You have to remember the color of the rocks above the boxes and paint the ones on the floor to match them. The first one is pretty simple. Interact with the blue-hued Monetoo and hold the skill while aiming at the rock in the middle to paint it blue. Next, talk to Mamull and get the first Common Chest.

Round II

For the second round, you must paint the second rock from the left yellow and the fourth rock red. Talk to Mamull again to get the second Common Chest in Genshin Impact.

From round III, Mamull will begin his scam. You can try his challenge as many times as you want but you will never win even if you have colored the rocks correctly because of the Iktomisaur nearby. The Saurian will keep changing the color of the rock from yellow to orange.

That said, you can stop trying after one attempt and expose Mamull's scam.

Get the key from the podium and rescue the chick

Go to the right side of the podium and investigate the barrel to get a Key found by the "Painted Stone Challenge" podium. Use it to open the cage on the other side of the podium and free the Iktomisaur Chick.

Talk to Iktomisaurus

Use the nearby Spiritsconce before talking to the Exhausted Iktomisaurus and tell it that the door has been opened.

Round IV

Play the Painted Stone Challenge again once you've talked to the Iktomisaurus. This time, it doesn't matter what color you use because the Saurian will help you win the game.
