Stalker 2 identifies as a first-person open-world game featuring a ton of content that players can engage in. GSC Game World has claimed that it will take more than 100 hours just to explore the map. In fact, despite the exclusion of a co-op or multiplayer mode, Stalker 2 comes packed with things to do and is almost double the length of previous Stalker titles.

Considering the extensive narrative and numerous side missions, how long will it take to beat the entire game? Well, let's find out.

How long is Stalker 2?

If someone is interested in just the narrative and wants to breeze through the main quests, Stalker 2 can take anywhere between 35 to 45 hours. It also depends on the player's skills and experience in first-person shooters. The developers have been more than open about the fact that the game will not be easy. They want to mimic the fear of death and the seriousness of the consequences that one might face in a post-apocalyptic world.

Interestingly, the total time to beat the game shoots up to 70-80 hours if one wants to go out of their way to complete each side mission alongside the main quests. However, a thing to note here is that the title has several missions that require multiple playthroughs. So, if you're a completionist and want to experience everything Stalker 2 has to offer, you will have to spend anywhere between 100-150 hours in the Zone.

The game is roughly double the length of previous Stalker games since this is the first open-world entry to the franchise. Moreover, even though the devs have included a fast-travel option, it is not that viable to use every time you want to get from Point A to Point B, as it requires a lot of coupons (in-game currency) Even if spending coupons aren't an issue, numerous quests will require you to travel on foot, taking up a lot of your time.

Despite being such a lengthy game, Stalker 2 is an exciting and fun title to play. Even if you get bored doing quests, you can take a short break and admire the highly detailed world GSC Game World has created.
