The Mortal Shell 2 close beta test is officially open for submissions. It is the first new game revealed at the Summer Game Fest 2025. The successor to the dark fantasy armor-focused souls-like title features new enemies, Shells, and weapons, with ranged launchers being a major addition. Its unique art style and metal soundtrack also add to the tone and atmosphere.
The beta is supposed to commence in early 2026. However, you can enroll now to get notified.
Note: The beta is currently only available for Steam (PC) players.

How do you sign up for the Mortal Shell 2 close beta test?

To enroll in the test, gamers need to visit Mortal Shell's official website. On the home page, you'll be given three options, with the first one taking you to the registration process. Select it and enter your email and name. Finally, complete the reCAPTCHA by clicking the white box.

Double-check the details and click the submit button. This concludes the registration process for signing up for the Mortal Shell 2 close beta test.
You should get a message on the aforementioned email. It will be a note from the developer team saying that you'll receive an advance notice when the beta is ready. The message will also detail their vision for the title and an overview of the gameplay.
Make sure to frequently check this email when 2026 rolls around, as further details for accessing the beta will be provided.

Besides signing up for the beta, players can also wishlist the game on certain platforms. These are:
