League of Legends patch 14.24 preview: Rell buffs, Ambessa nerfs, Viktor changes, and more

The League of Legends patch 14.24 preview is now live, with David Turley (@RiotPhreak on X) providing a summary of the forthcoming modifications. This patch will mark the last update of the year and will establish the foundation for the changes anticipated in Season 15. In addition to enhancements for Rell, Master Yi, and others, Viktor is set to undergo the most significant updates in light of the second season of Arcane.

Q critical strike bonus: 35% (49% with IE) 56.25% (86.25% with IE)

2) Rell

Base health: 610 → 640
P resist steal: 2% (1-2 min) → 3% (1.5-3 min)
W shield: 15-115 +12% max HP → 25-125 + 13% max HP

3) Rumble

Q total AP ratio: 100% → 110%
W AP ratio: 25% → 30%

4) Twitch

Q attack speed duration: 5s → 6s (matches R duration)
Q attack speed: 40-60% → 45-65%

5) Yuumi

Q mana: 50-100 → 50-75
Q minimum damage: 60-210 → 60-235
Q maximum damage: 80-355 → 80-380

1) Viktor

Passive: 5 cannon/25 takedown → 10 cannon/20 takedown
Q: Flat shield 25-105 lvl → 40-115 lvl
W: Rescript to consistently stun after exactly 1.25 seconds, rather than variably between 1.1 and 2 seconds (typically closer to 1.1, but sometimes doesn't stun when it should)
E Manacost: 70-110 → 60-100
R: It can now evolve and increase in radius and duration on takedowns

2) Warwick

Base AD: 65 → 63
W attack speed buff duration increased; triggers immediately on new targets

3) Poppy

Armor: 38 + 4.7 → 35 + 5 − (38-118 → 35-120)
Q flat damage: 40-120 + 0.9 bonus AD → 30-130 + 1.0 bonus AD

The next LoL patch is set to introduce modifications to the recently launched champion, Ambessa. Her performance in the solo queue has proven to be quite troublesome of late. Consequently, the developers are expected to reduce her prowess during the early-to-mid-game phases.

Meanwhile, Viktor is set for a revamp, as substantial modifications are forthcoming for his ultimate (R) ability. His W has been adjusted to make it more satisfying to utilize. Overall, the upcoming changes should create a prominent balance in his strength during various parts of the game. Additionally, adjustments will be made to Viktor's skins in light of his updated model.

Several Arcane-themed skins were already introduced in the previous patch, and with the official patch 14.24 release, more champions will receive new skins.

The most recent developer update video highlighted the significant alterations set to be introduced in League of Legends for the upcoming season. This next season will consist of three splits, accompanied by a range of modifications to the Jungle, Runes, and additional elements.

When will the League of Legends patch 14.24 be available?

The latest adjustments are available on the game's PBE server, but the official release of the LoL patch 14.24 is scheduled for December 11, 2024. Notably, the current PBE adjustments are tentative, and the developers may include more changes with the official patch release.
