The League of Legends patch 14.9 preview is now live, and Riot has shared the names of the champions who will be receiving an update next week. Some of the biggest highlights of the patch will be the buffs making their way to Seraphine, Kennen, and Amumu.

Additionally, nerfs are headed for Ahri, Aurelion Sol, Pyke, and Taliyah. Adjustments will be hitting Janna, Nilah, and Bel’Veth.

When talking about the upcoming update, Riot stated,

“One of the stories of this patch is being more intentional about power creep; the last few patches have been pretty buff-heavy, so we're looking to pull some power out of some champions.”

Below is a list of all the champions who are expected to receive changes in League of Legends 14.9.

When talking about the fighter item changes Riot stated,

“Sterak's Gage, Eclipse and Sundered Sky are dominating their slots. After this set of changes, we'd expect items that compete like Black Cleaver, Deaths Dance (which is getting buffed) to be more viable options on both heavy and light fighters alike. Maw is receiving some changes to make it less of a sharp "always counter" to magic damage users by focusing more of its defensive power budget relatively in the shield, rather than just face tanking all Magic Damage.”

6) System Adjustments

  • Hexdrinker
  • Maw of Malmortius

League of Legends patch 14.9 will be going live next week and is expected to drop onto the Rift on May 2, 2024.
