The revamped SKT T1 played their first game of the season as they faced Jin Air Gaming. They won 2-0 in a convincing fashion and here are the talking points from the match:

Faker is back

After missing the 2018 Worlds, there is no doubt that Faker is hungry for the trophy. He has been grinding the practice sessions and with a new team around him, he is ready to reclaim the glory in the LoL circuit.

It showed on the stage when Faker pulled out Urgot mid in game 1 and went deathless. Game 2 was much closer but he still had a major impact on the game reminding everyone he is not done yet.

Clid is a monster on Lee Sin

Everybody except Clid was well known to global fans before the new SKT T1 formed. However Chinese fans might remember him from his time in LGD. Clid is an explosive jungler who likes to play aggressive champions like Lee Sin and Elise etc. This is what he showed in game 1 as he locked in Lee Sin and was the MVP for the game. He picked Sejuani for game 2 showing everyone he is good on tanks too.

Khan needs more time

One player who particularly was not impressive on day 1 was Khan. The player is known for being a mechanical god and someone who is a true carry. However, it seems like he still gets little too aggressive at times which often results in his death. This was visible in match day as he was solo killed by the opponent and was 0/2 in game 2. It will take time but with players like Faker and Mata around him, he will surely improve.

Overall, it was a solid performance by SKT T1 Telecom. It is pretty early in the season and Jin Air is comparatively a weaker squad but it's a good sign for SKT T1 moving forward.
