Team Liquid dropped their first game of the season as they lost to TSM. G2 Esports, Griffin and Team Liquid were the three teams who were undefeated in their respective region before this week. While Griffin went undefeated this week both G2 Esports and Team Liquid faced their first defeat of the season.

TSM who has been struggling this season and currently sit in the mid-table managed to upset Team Liquid. Broken Blade who has faced criticism this season was the shining light for TSM.

Team Liquid picked Yorick in the first rotation for Impact. This backfired very heavily since TSM was able to counter pick it in the form of Jax. Bjergsen was also on point with Zoe and gave Jensen a really tough time in the mid lane. Akaadian was constantly invading Xmithie and really exerted the pressure the entire time. Doublelift did manage to find some early kills in the lane but this was enough to salvage the victory.

Team Liquid also made a lot of mistakes during the game. Impact trie to fight Brokenblade when he was behind as a result Team Liquid fell even behind. The macro was also not managed properly. Team fights have been the strength for Team Liquid so far this season but against the made a lot of poor decisions.

This was a strong display by TSM as they went 2-0 in the week. The team had a rough start to the tournament but it seems like they are getting stronger each week. They still have a long way to go but they seem to be on the right track. On the other hand Team Liquid is still by the far the best team in LCS. They are comfortably sitting at the top of the table where they are expected to finish.
