Mafia II voice actor teases about a possible new sequel

Mafia II

2K Games action-adventure title Mafia II released back in 2010 as a sequel to the original 2002 Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. The game did well very well critically, surpassing its predecessor in terms of storytelling and gameplay. Fans of the series have been dying to know about the protagonists (Vito Scaletta’s) fate ever since and it looks like they may get their wish.

Voice actor Rick Pasqualone played the series protagonist, Vito, a war veteran that becomes involved with the mafia while trying to pay back his father’s debt in the fictional city of Empire Bay. Fans have been tweeting to Rick, hoping for a new sequel to the Mafia series and Rick has replied to a few of these fans teasing about a possible new game:

He replied to another fan with a similar answer that we “might have some exciting news very soon”.

Fans of the series are definitely going to be happy with this news. If what Rick has stated his true, then we can expect an announcement from 2K Games sometime soon. It’s been close to five years since the last Mafia game was released. 2K even partnered up with Playboy magazine have a few of their 1958-1968 issues within the game to add to the game’s late sixties noir feel.
