The 10th main installment of the Mortal Kombat series is ready to be released next year by NetherRealm Studios. Like it has been over the years, this game will also feature two players fighting it out against each other using some special moves and a variety of attacks. It’s been announced that the game will be released exactly on the 14th of April next year.
The gamers have been provided with a special incentive where they can play with the character Goro if they pre-order the game. It must be noted that Goro is one of the long serving characters in the game and will be available only from some select retailers based on the territory.
The series created Ed Boon did confirm that a lot of new characters will be present in the game. "A lot of the new characters are those that came into power after MK9. Kotal Khan is one of them. He was one of the rulers of Outworld during that 25 year period, and the story mode basically follows his rise and fall. D'vorrah works with him, but there's twists there. I won't give away the story, but a lot of these characters come in and out of power over the course of the story," he said.
