Last week, Naughty Dog revealed the new pictures of Nathan Drake in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. This time around the developers have talked about how they are planning on making the game’s hero look more realistic and life-like in the game during a presentation in California.
Junkie Monkeys attended the Naughty Dog presentation at Gallery Nucleus in California, held recently, where the game developers talked in more detail about the plans and improvements they have made on Nathan Drake in the upcoming game. They explained that Drake’s face muscles are based on real facial science and the shaders have made Drake look more natural in the game. These shaders include pores, scars, facial hair, wetness in the skin/clothes which are very well detailed.
They have also compared that Drake had 180 facial poses in PlayStation 3 but the new Drake is said to sport over 800 facial poses. Naughty dog have said that they even detailed Drake’s skin to react to each facial expression he makes, and they have also applied these tools to his hands and arms for a more natural look and feel.
The game developers have also promised fans that they will share more high quality realistic models of Nathan drake in the near future.
