According to Edmund McMillen’s latest blog post, the popular game The Binding of Issac:Rebirth is getting a new eventful DLC “AfterBirth”. McMillen also revealed that this DLC should arrive sometime "hopefully around the middle" of the year. In the interest of more disclosure, McMillen shared that this new expansion will totally change the way we play the game and all this is attributed to new game mode that will be featured in the DLC.
This expansion will be overflowing with tons of new stuff that includes 10 challenges, 100 items, a new playable character, new bosses and enemies and finally an alternate final chapter.
McMillen guarentees that this new content will "easily" increase the gameplay time by another 200 hours. In addition to Afterbirth, another update will be coming out soon that will feature the "hard mode" versions of the games current bosses this is being done to "keep skilled players on their toes."
