Electronic Arts released a brand new trailer for its upcoming shooter title Battlefield: Hardline this past Monday. The game, which is being developed by Visceral games, will be unlike previous games in the Battlefield series. Inspired heavily by TV Crime dramas, Battlefield: Hardline will have a story-based single player campaign as well as a multiplayer mode which plays out like a cops vs robbers scenario.
The new trailer is 90-seconds long and showcases some of the games story elements as well as the missions players will be able to take on. It also features Jamie N Commons song “Karma” which was revealed at the 2014 Game Awards earlier this month. Players now have different options for clearing objectives such as non-lethal takedowns. The trailer also states that the game is “the fastest Battlefield ever” referring to the car chase sequences.
Battlefield: Hardline was originally supposed to launch this year in October. But the game received some pretty mixed responses from players during its big reveal earlier this year, thus prompting EA to push the game into 2015. Visceral Games have now taken player feedback into account after the games open beta testing, changing the game significantly from what players originally felt was a glorified Battlefield 4 mod.
The game is slated to release on March 17th, 2015 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC platforms.
