Devolver Digital CEO plans on making a new SeaMan Game
The game’s development appears to be resurfacing.

One of the most critically “queer” publisher of what can be characterised as a set of rebellious games such as Serious Sam, Hotline Miami, Luftrausers and The Talos Principle has taken up a new enterprise that aims at bringing to life the infamous game SeaMan. Nothing much has been done on the title ever since the license for this Dreamcast Title was acquired by Devolver Digital. CEO Fork Parker had a epiphany one morning when he thought to himself “I could do something about this.” So then he went on Twitter (where more business deals make their first stirrings than you might believe) to see if he could make it happen.

Fork tries to make SeaMan happen over Twitter

By publishing the following tweet “Hey @<SEGA please let us nerds at @<DevolverDigital have the license to create a new Seaman game. Pretty please.”  followed by a tweet “Everybody be cool, I'm trying to make a new Seaman happen over Twitter. Remain calm“

Thus it is evident that something worthwhile might come out of the license of the impending creation of SeaMan. The game itself was like a kind of virtual life sim which was distinguished by its use of a microphone, allowing players to talk directly to their virtual fish . A sequel to the Dreamcast original was released on PS2, but didn’t make it out of Japan. We had hoped that Nintendo was working on some sort of revival, based on a pretty odd trademark as well as Nikkei rumours, but we haven’t heard anything since then.
