After much speculation, G2 Esports has finally signed Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa to its CS2 roster. The team recently won at IEM Dallas 2024 after bringing in Stewie2k as a temporary replacement for HooXi. G2 even recently benched Nemanja "nexa" Isaković, which opened up one spot for a new addition. Many believed that G2 Esports would finally sign Jake "Stewie2k" Yip to their CS2 roster. However, talks with M80, malbsMd's previous team, were already underway.

malbsMd put up several amazing performances during his time with M80 and previously, TeamOne. The Guatemalan player is known for his aggressive approach and will be playing highly active roles on the G2 roster.

malbsMd is set to replace nexa, who was a fairly competent anchor player. Despite being a skilled CS2 pro, it seems his time with G2 was limited. The team has had issues managing their roster, with HooXi being unable to play at the IEM Dallas finals and m0NESY missing out on the initial days at the BLAST Spring event in 2024.

Now, it would seem the team has finally found their last remaining member, who has a relatively different playstyle than nexa. The former M80 player specializes in initiating fights and taking first contact. His aggressive approach has led to him having 27% opening attempts from the CT side and 32% attempts from the T side in his career.

Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa took to his official X account to announce his official signing to G2's Counter-Strike 2 roster. He also thanked M80 for being extremely supportive during the entire process.

"Super excited for the opportunity of my life, can't still believe this happened but I'm more ready than ever to grind and become a better player and person than i was before, I also want to thank everyone from @M80gg for their support since the 1st day of this!"

MalbsMd is a talented player who now looks forward to playing his first-ever pro match with G2 on a grand stage. This could be during the international Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
