It looks great and the story is decent, but One Piece World Seeker's 20 hours of one-note combat and repetitive, misleading quests aren't worth suffering through.

World Seeker looks the part of a breakout single-player One Piece game, but its many problems become apparent almost immediately after picking up the controller. Repetitive combat, cumbersome movement controls, and a few outstandingly bad missions get in the way of what otherwise would have been a very respectable One Piece story. Quite simply, One Piece deserves better.

In terms of open-world game design, World Seeker isn’t an innovator, but it borrows and re-imagines familiar mechanics well (from the Batman: Arkham games, in particular) and proves why they are perfect for the One Piece universe. I had a good time flinging myself around the open environment while using stretch abilities to beat up bad guys and enjoyed the story. I was eager to upgrade Luffy’s best abilities, grow my Karma, and learn more about the island by completing as much of the side content as possible.

It was almost inevitable that One Piece World Seeker would have some faults, but it’s hard not to love the game regardless of them.

One Piece World Seeker did get some good average reviews, as you can see GameInformer gave it an 8/10. Though overall critics were not that good, One Piece World Seeker open world is more fun to do. Spending time while slinging through one point to another using Luffy's devil fruit powers, or just engaging in combat which gives the vibe of Warner Bros. games. One Piece World Seeker is a good game, but it is underdeveloped. There are a lot of things that need improvement or innovation.
