A few days ago, Sony announced its reimbursing plans for its regulars who had to suffer from the Christmas disruption. Sony revealed that they would be increasing the PlayStation Plus subscriptions along with providing PlayStation Store fans a one-time discount. This is a very smart tactic for the PlayStation Network to get back into the game.

This token of compensation for the customers’ patience during the blackout will be applicable for all PlayStation Plus subscribers that had an active membership or were on free trial, according to the PlayStation Blog. The customers will be receiving a membership extension of five days which will be applied to all affected accounts automatically.

Sony has decided to provide a one-time use 10% discount coupon to its customers for a limited time. This discount can be availed on the contents of the PS Store, including games, DLC along with television and movie programs. It is a good gesture by Sony to make it up to their customers affected by the outage.

The online structure of the PS Network was damaged for the entire holidays as a result of denial of service accusation on the PlayStation Network. The network recently returned to its full competence after a long period of sporadic blackout.
