PUBG Mobile: Is Venezia Going To Be The Next PUBG Map?

PlayerUnknown's Battleground released its fourth map, named Snow Map Vikendi, at the end of last year. Soon after the map's global release across the PC platform, it was revealed that Vikendi was also going to be released for PUBG Mobile and console versions of the game.

The snow map was nothing more than fan speculation before being officially revealed as an actual deal in place. Originally a concept winter map created by Reddit user IamEzalor, the developers considered the map's concept before publishing something similar in December 2018.

We should not forget that IamEzalor has also previously worked on another concept map for PUBG. The second map he created was based on Venice, Italy - known as Venezia, which constituted of mainly small island-like populated areas, just like what you would see in real-life.

He explained some of the gameplay aspects alongside key gears, with players in-game spawning at the Aquarails denoted by gray dots in the concept map and after the lobby is full - followed by a 10-second cooldown - the race for top spot begins.

Vehicles

  • Aquarail.
  • Bicycle.
  • Vespa.

Weapons

  • Beretta ARX 160 (Assault Rifle).
  • Benelli M4 (Shotgun).
  • HK-911 (Under Water Pistol).
  • C4 Explosive charge (which can be obtained by creates only).

With this in mind, it remains to be seen as to whether the map itself will be included in PUBG in the near future. If developers see that players are interested, they will try and implement it just like they did with Vikendi last year.

There is a chance, albeit slim, that Venezia is selected as the next map for PUBG across all platforms. What do you think? Does the concept show potential to be integrated into the game?
