Sachin Saga: 5 lowest rated Indian players in Sachin Tendulkar's latest cricket game

India Training Session
Suresh Raina

Sachin Saga Cricket Champions is the latest cricket game that was released a couple days back. The game focuses on levelling up and unlocking players as the player levels up. The average ratings for the game have been above 4.1 and it has been well received by cricket fans all across.

While some of the players in this game have been given incredible ratings, others have been rated quite low. Here, we take a look at five of the lowest rated players in the game.

#5 Suresh Raina

Having lost his place in the Indian team, it is no surprise that Suresh Raina's name comes in this list. Raina used to be an integral part of the Indian middle order a couple years back but the lack of fitness meant that he has been replaced by younger and fitter players. Raina is an all-rounder and has a combined rating of just 136, this is lower than the individual ratings for many players.

#4 Ajit Agarkar

England v India - Fourth NatWest Series ODI
Agarkar vs England

The former Indian bowler is fourth on this list. Agarkar, like Raina, has been given a combined rating of 136. His bowling is rated at 121, whereas his batting rating is just a measly 15, he is a 3-star player in the game. Agarkar was not one of the key players for India in the early 2000's, but certainly played a supporting role in many of their famous victories.

Agarkar is well known for the explosive start to his career. In 1998, Agarkar broke Dennis Lillee's record of the fastest bowler to reach 50 wickets, which he achieved in just 23 games.

#3 Amit Mishra

Sussex v India - Tour Match
Amit Mishra

The leggie has played 22 Test matches for India, picking up 76 wickets. He has played 36 ODI's for India and has taken 64 wickets. Amit Mishra has been in and out of the Test side in the past couple years but has given key performances whenever called upon. His most famous match-winning contribution came in the home series against Sri Lanka in 2015.

Mishra's bowling is rated at just 105 in the game, while his batting is a lowly 24. A combined rating of 129 makes Mishra the third lowest rated Indian player in Sachin Saga Cricket Champions.

#2 Ravindra Jadeja

India v West Indies - 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup
Jadeja in the 2015 Cricket World Cup

Perhaps the most surprising name in the list is Ravindra Jadeja, who is one of India's best all-rounders in both limited overs as well as Test cricket. Jadeja presently ranked as the third best Test bowler in the world and has been numero uno earlier in his career. He plays a very crucial role for India in Tests with both bat as well as ball.

His rating in Sachin Saga, however, is ridiculously low for the talent he brings to the table. Jadeja has been given a bowling rating of just 69 points while his batting rating is 47. A combined rating of 116 is absurd for a player of Jadeja's calibre. It is up to the game developers to revise ratings in a subsequent update.

#1 Yusuf Pathan

India v Bangladesh: Group B - 2011 ICC World Cup
Pathan in the 2011 Cricket World Cup

The lowest rated Indian player in the list is Yusuf Pathan. Pathan has played for India 57 times in ODI's and has just scored 810 runs at a poor average of 27. Although known for his exploits in T20s, his average when playing for India drops further to just 18.15. His contributions with the ball too are below par, he has only taken 33 wickets in ODI's at an average of 41.36.

Lacklustre performances over the years has put him out of contention for the Indian side and it is no surprise that he is the lowest rated Indian player in the game. Pathan's combined rating is a mere 92. While his batting is rated at 68, his bowling rating is 24.
