Silent Hill to be released as a slot machine

Plans for a Silent Hill reboot may be dead in the water, but at least the franchise will be offering something new after developer Konami announced that a slot machine based on the popular horror series has been released.

The slot machine in question will be made by Japanese firm Takasago. The slot machine will display icons based on the Silent Hill series and not any actual story, which is a big disappointment for fans of the series who have been in gloom ever since the reboot, Silent Hills, was written off.

The machine will make its official debut in Japan this Fall, on October 15th, with no plans to take the slot machines to other parts of the world as of now.

Konami’s decision to release a slot machine hasn’t gone down well with fans to say the least, with many die hard gamers posting negative comments about the machine’s YouTube trailer.
