Stalker 2: How to get the Malachite Pass during the For Science side quest

Players can get the Malachite Pass in Stalker 2 while completing the For Science sidequest. The item is necessary to enter the Malachite Base. Alternatively, you must build relations with the faction associated with this area. This same rule also applies to other bases in the game.

For Science quest walkthrough in Stalker 2

The STC Malachite Base is located in the Malachite region in the game. Even though you can get the Pass from a dead Malachite soldier, the chances of this happening are very slim. Your best bet is to complete this side mission.

Start by making your way to the Central Elevator which is to the southwest of Rostok. When you reach, you will meet Yaryk Mongoose at a two-story building. Engage in a conversation with him and you will learn that he is in the middle of a science experiment that he needs help with.

You will be asked to press a button when he gives the call. However, as soon as you reach this button, you must fight and kill a Bloodsucker.

Once you defeat the mutant, press the button to activate the device and then return back to Yaryk Mongoose. Upon returning to Yaryk, you will be given two choices: Kill him or forgive him. Since we need the Malachite Pass to enter the Malachite Base, make sure to not kill him. As you forgive him, you will receive 1,350 Coupons and a Malachite Pass.

Once you get your hands on the Malachite Pass in Stalker 2, you can enter the Malachite Base and start the Black Sheep side mission.
