Super Mario coming to Android and iOS
Nintendo will be releasing a Dr.Mario game for Android and iOS this summer. The company is collaborating with a Japan-based mobile game company Line for its development. It will be an Action-Puzzle game similar to previous Dr.Mario versions.
The game will be released this summer(exact date not revealed) which will include Japan and USA. The game will be free to play with in-app purchases available like most of the games present today.
For those who are unaware of Dr.Mario games it similar to Tetris in a way that you have to arrange puzzle blocks in such a way to clear the space. The only difference here is that you have to deal with viruses by rearranging the puzzle. The original Dr.Mario game was released back in 1990 and has not been touched by Nintendo in years.
There is no information regarding the in-game mechanics yet but expect it to be similar to the original Dr.Mario game. There is also room for Multiplayer battles which will make the game more fun and competitive. Games in this genre don't appeal much to the general crowd and are mainly built for leisure times. Candy Crush is one of the most popular games which is similar to this and has been successful. However, it gets pretty repetitive after some time as there is not much to explore.
Another Nintendo game Mario Kart Tour was scheduled to release this march but now has been delayed for the summer. It's unsure why the game was delayed but according to the statement "to improve the quality of the app and to expand the service content after delivery."
Nintendo further added "In the mobile business, Mario Kart Tour was scheduled to be released this fiscal year, but in order to improve quality of the application and expand the content offerings after launch, the release date has been moved to summer 2019"
