Super Mario Edition of Puzzles and Dragons announced for Nintendo 3DS

Puzzles and Dragons is one of the most beloved, most played mobile games of Japan and has claimed the position of being a favorite since it has been downloaded over a million times by smart phone users in Japan. Thanks to the enterprising works of Nintendo, now players all over the world can enjoy this engaging game since Nintendo has announced the Super Mario Bros Edition of Puzzles and Dragons for Nintendo 3DS.

The Mushroom Kngdom will serve as the backdrop where the game will be set with the same set of characters adapting to the puzzle like features of the original game of Puzzles and Dragons. The story of the game is evidently the same where Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach and our loyal Mario sets out on a quest to rescue her, to do so he must solve a series of Puzzles.

Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition will be equipped with multiplayer and street pass features. The mystery however lies in the fact that the game departs its origin in Japan to make its way to US. Developer GungHo has hinted on the possibility of the game being released for different regions however he did not point to any specifics. We can not be certain about the game’s release in US until Nintendo gives an assuring word for it. Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition will launch in Japan exclusively for Nintendo 2DS and 3DS on April 29th.
