Super Smash Bros: Use The Weekly Spirit Events To Your Advantage

For those who don't know, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has weekly events where you can collect special Spirits for your characters. These Spirits are usually limited to the weekly event, but we don't know if they will return in similar or other events.

Between December 14 and 17, players could get unique, powerful Spirits from characters who wore eyewear such as sunglasses. This time, between December 21 and December 24, the theme is with Fire Emblem characters.

What are Spirits?

Spirits are special companions that give your characters boost such as bonus attack, bonus defense or other bonus power-ups that are added when equipped. Spirits can be found when playing Super Smash Bros' "single player" mode called World of Light.

Spirits also have an element that can be given to you: Attack, Grab or Shield. This works in a Rock-Paper-Scissors like method. For example, if you are facing a spirit that has a Grab element, equip a Spirit with "Attack" element. Players can also get Spirits from the Spirit Board game mode, which is a significantly more challenging game mode.

Players can also take their spirits to multiplayer mode, be it local multiplayer or online. We don't know how much pros are valuing having spirits and how it will work out in tournaments.

Event Exclusive Spirits

There are 10 slots that players can use to equip their Spirits. Out of these 10, two of them are exclusively reserved for event-specific Spirits. While there are also many useless Spirits which don't provide almost any benefit, there are also some legendary and ace quality Spirits which will allow players to get the best ones from Event Exclusive Spirits.

You can only get Spirits for a limited time within a day while the event is going on. The timing usually varies, but you will get a notification banner on your main screen if you wish to do these events.
