In a recent Famitsu column translated by Kotaku, Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai discussed development of the Nintendo brawler on the Wii U, claiming that the console version is not yet completed. In the pot he revealed that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U wasn’t even finished quite yet, but that the features in the game show the “true potential of Smash Bros,”.
He also explained that soon after the release, the 3DS can be used as a controller for the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros., and that fighters and customized characters can be shared between the two platforms. Since the new features still remain unknown to us, Sakurai teased that he would be revealing some of them in the very near future, perhaps through a Nintendo Direct.
With limited number if days remaining for the release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U on November 21, we expect to get some sort of Nintendo Direct as early as possible.
