Tekken 7 arcade machines to appear at events worldwide

Bandai Namco has stated that they will be bringing the Tekken 7 arcade cabinets to gaming events across North America. The cabinet will also be featured in a few global events as well. The announcement came a while after Tekken 7 was revealed to be part of the lineup for EVO 2015.

Evolution Championship Series organizer Joey ‘MrWizard’ Cuellar revealed the games appearing at this year’s EVO on a Twitch TV stream earlier this week. With Tekken 7 appearing on the list, North American players will have very little time to practice their moves in time for the tournament which is happening from July 17th before the games release.

But, they will have an opportunity to hone their skills at the events where these arcade cabinets are present. So if you’re thinking about competing in this year’s EVO, its best to head out to one of these events. And it’s not just North American players who will have a chance to experience the game.

Tekken 7 Director, Katsuhiro Harada, has tweeted that Bandai Namco will be bringing the arcade machines to events worldwide.

So far the only countries that have had a chance to try out the Tekken 7 arcade machine are Japan and South Korea, though this was part of a “location test”. These tests act like a beta phase for arcade games which help the developers gather feedback from players.

Bandai Namco is yet to announce any details about a possible console release of Tekken 7. The game is slated to release in March 2015 for Japan.
