#4 Red Dead Redemption 2
I'll be very honest here and let me get two things very clear.
I haven't yet played RDR 2; I don't need to play it to judge it.
Rockstar games have proved every single time that they are the best.
I'm not the type of guy who believes too much in the reviews or scores a game I received but since I haven't played the game yet I need to rely on that just this time.
RDR 2 currently has a Metacritic score of 97/100, making it the highest rated video game of this generation. It currently stands at 9th position as the top-rated video game of all time.
That aside, RDR 2 is a game enough for me to jump into because of John Marston.
Marston, the protagonist of the first Red Dead Redemption is a former outlaw and a man, almost every one of us can relate to. Since RDR 2 is a prequel, it focuses on the lives of John Marston, Dutch van der Linde and the other gang members and outlaws of the modern American Era, when the wild west was on the verge of dying.
Enters- Arthur Morgan, the new antihero/ Protogainst of RDR 2 who is the right hand of Dutch in his new gang.
How their story evolves throughout the game is still a mystery and I'm trying to stay away from all the possible spoilers but I know very well no doubt that Rockstar games definitely creates a benchmark in storytelling and open world genre yet again from their newest instalment in the Red Dead series, one I can't wait to get lost into.
#3 The Last Of Us: Remastered
I played The Last Of Us on my PS3 back in 2013 and got my mind blown.
I played The Last Of Us: Remastered on my PS4 this year again and got my mind blown further to an extent that I couldn't believe was possible.
The Last Of Us is one of the best Videogame ever made.
A testament to how far we have come in storytelling and character development in video games.
It's a story about hope, about trust, about love and at the end about survival.
A game where every bullet shot counts, every whisper of your footsteps that might lead to your death, every beautiful view you encounter, every person you lose and ultimately what you become till the end when the credits rolls, the rollercoaster of emotions running wild through your mind when the game ends and to every serene moment in between, The Last Of Us is everything and more.
