Based on the Brad Pitt movie of the same name (but sadly not the book), World War Z has various chapters set in different parts of the world. The game is almost a mirror of Left 4 Dead 2 and many fans call it the "unofficial Left 4 Dead 3".
The game dynamically changes the difficulty for you. If you're having it too easy, you will be flooded with hoards of zombies. If you have to face a huge fight, you will find a supply of weapons. The game can be quite difficult and challenging but you can team up with 3 other players to assist you.

State of Decay 2 is another game where you can play with up to three other players. But in this game, the focus is not just on coordinating to kill zombies. You'll need to scavenge for items and make sure you have a good build in order to survive.
Although it has received negative or neutral reviews, it is still one of the best zombie survival games out there. The game features a permanent death and if you die, you'll have to start over again. That helps you ensure that you do things the right way always as you progress.
