The International Championship 2 was announced on May 2012 and held at Benaroya Hall in Seattle from August 31 to September 2. The prize pool remained $1.6 million USD with $1 million for the Champion.

Again for the 2nd time, Natus Vincere was Playing in the Finals against another legendary Chinese team Invictus Gaming. Invictus Gaming wins the championship by beating Na’Vi by 3-1.

The International 3 (2013)

The International Championship 3 was announced on April 25, 2013. It was held at Seattle from August 7 to 11. Including the defending champion, Invictus Gaming 13 teams were invited to the Valve hosted annual tournament and 3 teams were selected by two qualifying tournaments and one match before the tournament. The first interactive International compendium which will contribute to the prize pool of the tournament was announced on May 6. The International reclaimed its previous record of being the tournament with prize pool surpassing the $2 million League of Legends tournament with a prize pool of $2,874,380 USD.

This year Natus Vincere again managed to reach the final being the first team to reach 3 TI finals back to back. The final was played between Na’Vi and Alliance and the world saw the Legendary Puck of S4 with Alliance snatching the Championship after a series of nerve wrecking games.
