FIFA 18: Manchester United defender Antonio Valencia behind Wycombe Wanderers' 48-year-old goalkeeper in one particular rating
What's the story?
Manchester United right-back Antonio Valencia has been handed a 1-star rating for his weak foot by EA Sports in FIFA 18. What makes it hurt even more is the fact that the oldest player in the game has a better rating than him.
Wycombe Wanderers goalkeeper Barry Richardson, who is 48 years old, still has a 2-star weak foot rating.
In case you didn't know
Valencia's card shows that he has been given a 1 star on his weak foot. To his credit, Valencia has scored two goals on his weak foot, the second with United.
Recently, in a match against Everton, the Ecuadorean even scored a brilliant half-volley from outside the box.
The heart of the matter
Valencia is currently rated 83 overall, with a pace of 87, a shooting power of 65 and a passing stat of 75. His dribbling skill is 81, defence is 78 and his physical score is 85. He also has a 3-star skill rating but the 1-star weak foot rating sticks out like a sore thumb.
Richardson, on the other hand, is rated 46 overall with a diving score of 39, handling at 50 and kicking at 39. His reflexes are at 37, speed is very low at 25 and his physical is at 50. Richardson also has a 1-star skill move and a 2-star weak foot.
FIFA 18 is releasing this Friday worldwide and already some players who have pre-ordered the game are delving into it.
Meanwhile, Valencia is reveling in his right-back at Manchester United. His side recorded a fine win in the Premier League at the weekend and will now face CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Champions League.
As most people say, it's just a game, and we can be sure that Antonio Valencia will not let his FIFA 18 stats dictate the way he is playing. We can also be sure that there is much more to come from the 32-year-old.
