#2 Companions

Just like in Fallout games you can have companions to go along with you on your journey across this sci-fi universe. By far we have seen that you can carry along two companions with you though it's still a mystery whether you can have more at a time.

Every companion is an interesting character on its own and has different abilities that can come in handy during the gameplay and even in the narrative segments.

Your companion can leave you midway if you piss them off too much and then you have to pursue them again to join your party.

However, to our disappointment, you can't romance any of the characters which Obsidian Entertainment confirmed that it was a very thoughtful decision.

#3 Fear System

The Outer World is your true RPG and hence one of the interesting mechanics the game offers you is the Fear System.

Suppose you have been fighting a similar type of enemy a lot, then the game offers to debuff your character, that means your character will be less effective in combat with that particular type of enemy and in return, you gain a perk point.

Now isn't that a fair deal? This can give players a heck lot of customisation and role play options and I can't wait to try it for myself.
