A new mythical Pokémon named Hoopa has been revealed for Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. The Pokémon Community have been discussing the mythical Hoopa ever since the discovery of his hidden data on Pokémon X & Y. The Pokémon Company did not make an official announcement regarding Hoopa’s existence until this week when they released a new video showcasing the mythical character.
Hoopa is categorized as the first Psychic and Ghost type Pokémon and is described as “a Mythical Pokémon in the world of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire that cannot be encountered through regular gameplay! The Pokémon is recognizable by its two horns and the golden ring that adorns its trunk. Hoopa’s rings are said to have the power to bend dimensions and move objects across great distances.”So it is very likely that Hoopa was responsible for the Mirage Spots found throughout the game. The spots allow players to catch Legendary type Pokémon.
The developers are yet to reveal how players can encounter and catch Hoopa but it is likely a special event planned for the game. It will be interesting to see how Hoopa fairs in battle, especially given that he is the first psychic ghost dual type Pokémon in the game. Hopefully The Pokémon Company will reveal some more information on the newest Pokémon in the coming weeks.
