Jan Oblak

The Slovenian is regarded as one of the best shot-stoppers in the world and his numbers present a rosy picture. His handling of 90 and position of 87 puts him right up there with the very best and at just 24 years of age, he has a bright future ahead of him.

He has seen an overall one-point upgrade from the previous edition of the game as well, highlighting his excellent form last season.

#9 Diego Godin (Atletico Madrid) - 88

Next up in the list is another Atletico star, this time in the form of Diego Godin, who is one heck of a defender. The Uruguayan has shown his class over the last few seasons for Atleti and his rating of 88 is a clear reflection of his abilities.

The 31-year-old has seen no change from the last season in his overall rating, which was also 88 in FIFA 17. However, he gets a bump of one point in his dribbling and a reduction in physicality.

Another Atletico man is a part of the Top 10 and after their keeper and centre-back, it's Atleti's main striker Antoine Griezmann who features on the list. Blessed with a peach of a left foot, the forward is easily one of the best in the business.

His overall rating of 88 is the same as FIFA 17 and so are five out of his six stats, which remain stationary. The only change is in his physicality number, which has gone up by the one point.

The former Southampton and Tottenham Hotspurs man is now one of the biggest names in the Spanish top division and like Griezmann, has a wand of a left foot. His 2016-17 was not ideal, to say the least, and as a result, he has received a drop in his overall rating.

However, his key six stats remain the same as FIFA 17, with a blistering 94 pace, an 86 dribbling score and a whopping 87 shooting.

#6 Luka Modric (Real Madrid) - 89

A staggering 89 for dribbling and 86 passing makes him a real prize in the middle but his pace and physicality have seen a one-point drop from FIFA 17.

A World Cup winner in 2016, he has seen a sharp two-point rise in his overall rating, which shows the kind of season he had. While his pace has gone up by a whopping five points, it remains a bit on the slower side at 50. However, his 88 passing and 81 shooting more than make up for it.
