Farcry New Dawn story takes place seventeen years after the events of previous far cry game, "Far Cry New Dawn".

The nuclear exchange which is also known as "The Collapse" has devastated the world. Survivors attempt to rebuild the community in Hope County. Although there are some other plans for hope county, as a new threat rises.

The efforts of the people are threatened by the highwaymen, a roving band of organized bandits led by twin sisters Mickey and Lou.

With few other choices, the survivors of Hope County form an alliance with New Eden, the remnants of the Project Eden's Gate. Despite knowing the fact that they will prove to be a greater threat than the twin sisters.

Far Cry new Dawn will also reveal the fates of the main protagonist and antagonist of Far Cry 5, " The Deputy and Joseph Seed".
