In January 2016, Nextwave Multimedia came out with the game World Cricket Championship 2, which was the next instalment of the popular World Cricket Championship. It is available for Android, iOS and Windows platforms and at the time of its launch, it was hailed as the most advanced cricket game.

It features a number of interesting modes, such as 'Practice Mode', 'Tournament Mode', 'Challenge a Friend' and 'Missions', and the AI is quite good when compared to other cricket games.

However, like other games, it does not feature real names for international players and has had to use modified versions of them due to licensing issues.

In this article, we take a look at five of the funniest player names in the game:


#1 Y Sing (Yuvraj Singh)

In the game, Y Sing has a batting skill of 65% and a bowling skill of 50%. He bats left-handed and bowls left-arm spin.

Yuvraj is one of the most successful Indian ODI cricketers of all time and has scored 8,701 runs with 14 centuries in the 50-over format of the game whilst taking 111 wickets with the ball.

He has also been a leader in the T20 format of the game and it all started with the infamous 'six sixes' against England in the inaugural T20 World Cup.

In Niroshan Dickwella, Sri Lanka seem to have finally found a replacement for their iconic legend, Kumar Sangakkara who can bat and ably keep the wickets as well.

In an ODI career of 32 matches, he has scored over 1000 runs at an average of more than 30. His Test career has also started on a good note, as he has scored 917 runs in 29 innings, including seven half-centuries.

His best performance came in a T20 match against Sri Lanka when bowling first, he took a solitary wicket and then helped chase down the score with a quickfire 46 runs off 17 balls.
