Until Dawn expected to release in summer 2015

Until Dawn

Until Dawn is a new slasher horror game being developed by Supermassive Games that was originally slated for release on the PS3 and PlayStation Move Support. But after its big re-reveal at Gamescom this year, the game is now a PS4 exclusive.

Until Dawn was previously expected to be released in early 2014, but this was eventually changed with the developers announcing at The Game Awards that the titles release date has now been pushed to summer of 2015.

The game uses the same engine as Killzone: Shadow Fall and looks absolutely stunning as seen in its newest world premier trailer shown at this year’s Game Awards. The character animations look insanely real, but the story so far seems a bit too much like your typical slasher movie.

Until Dawn offers players a very cinematic feel. Players will have to take control of their character and make spot decisions. But one of the more interesting features is how characters will actually die during the game. Overall the game looks pretty gorgeous and intriguing, with a few similarities to Heavy Rain.

It’s a bit disappointing that players will have to wait till the summer to get their hands on the game, but it’s probably a good thing for the game. The game will most likely sell more in the summer when there isn’t much competition from other titles. Most of next year’s game releases are slated for spring, leaving Until Dawn with few competitors during summer.
